Pimcore is the right platform when complex product data is your core problem: thousands of SKUs, many channels, deep workflows. When it is not, we will tell you, and recommend what fits instead.
Oronts builds, migrates and extends Pimcore installations from Munich: PIM and MDM implementation, the 2026.1 and Studio migration wave, POCL license decisions, and custom bundles engineered like products.
The stack we build on
Pimcore fits when your product data is complex: deep variant trees, many attributes, multiple languages, and several output channels from one record. The open-source platform gives you a strong data model, DAM, and an API layer without per-record licensing. What decides the outcome is the work around it: the data model, the ERP and supplier feeds, channel syndication rules, and a clean upgrade path. That is custom services on a proven base, not a product you buy off the shelf. We are Pimcore specialists who build on Pimcore plus our own open-source bundles, so you own the model, the code, and the roadmap.

Read the guidePimcore as the single source of truth between your upstream systems and every outbound channel.
ERP, supplier feeds, and DAM flow into a governed model that is enriched, validated, and localized once, then syndicated to shop, marketplaces, print, and ERP.
Product data architecture, data modeling, channel integration and editor workflows for catalogs from thousands to hundreds of thousands of SKUs.
The move from ExtJS to Studio, PHP 8.5, consolidated bundles and the new release line, planned and executed without disrupting daily editorial work.
The license change affects every Community Edition installation above the revenue threshold. We assess exposure and map the options: stay, license, or restructure.
Bundles built like products: Symfony best practices, automated tests, documentation and versioned releases your team can maintain independently.
ERP, shop systems, marketplaces and data pipelines connected to Pimcore with idempotent, monitored, restartable jobs instead of fragile cron scripts.
Slow object trees, locking conflicts and import bottlenecks diagnosed and fixed at the architecture level, not patched at the symptom.
Two to four days: we assess your installation against the 2026.1 migration path, the POCL license thresholds and the Studio change, and deliver a written decision basis with effort estimates your management can act on.

Pimcore decisions look different from each seat. Here is what matters to the people who sign it off.
You need one trustworthy product data model, not a PIM that locks you in.
Open-source Pimcore, your schema and your data, running in your cloud, GDPR-grade.
A buying committee has to audit data ownership and exit terms.
Full source handover, no per-record licensing trap, AVV and TOM readiness, a real Impressum-grade vendor.
Your client needs senior Pimcore work delivered under your brand.
White-label Pimcore engineering, the same discipline behind our public open-source bundles.
Catalogs must run in-country and support Arabic.
EU or on-prem hosting, native Arabic and full RTL, and you own the code.
A staged path from scattered product data to one source of truth, syndicated to every channel. Senior delivery, with your team in the loop and the code in your hands.
We map your products, attributes, relationships and channels, and agree the data model before any code is written.
A staged migration from your current system or Pimcore version, with a POCL threshold and license review so there are no surprises.
We build the PIM, the enrichment workflows and the validation rules, with roles and approvals your team owns.
Clean product data out to shop, marketplace, print and partners, with the mappings documented and owned by you.
We harden, document and hand over, so your team runs Pimcore day to day with our seniors on call when it matters.
The platform is moving faster than most installations. Three changes define the next twelve months.
Platform 2026.1 ships Studio as the only admin interface; 2025.4 was the last dual-UI release. Custom admin extensions built on ExtJS will not survive the jump unchanged. The migration is plannable, but it is real engineering work, and waiting makes it larger.
Pimcore left GPLv3. The Community Edition remains free below five million euros of annual revenue; above it, a commercial license or an architectural decision is due. Many installations discovered this gap only when procurement asked. An honest exposure assessment costs days, not weeks.
The 2026 line raises the floor: PHP 8.5, Symfony upgrades, consolidated bundles. Installations that skipped maintenance releases now face a compound migration. The path is well documented, but the order of operations matters.
Where the product-data approach holds up as complexity and channels grow. The platform handles the engine; the services around it decide whether it fits your business.

The platform column is open-source Pimcore on its own. The difference in the last column is the data model, the integrations, and the migration path we build and hand over.
Concrete situations a PIM solves for Mittelstand manufacturers and distributors, and the outcome the platform plus our work delivers.
One governed product model with inheritance, so a variant change updates everywhere instead of being re-keyed by hand.
Channel-specific syndication from one source, with per-channel field mapping and validation before anything is published.
DAM and PIM unified in one record, so assets, copy, and attributes ship together and stay consistent across channels.
A staged path to Pimcore 12 with a licence assessment, so you move on a schedule you control rather than under pressure.
A B2B portal built on the Pimcore data layer, with the same product source feeding the public shop and the gated portal.
Print and digital generated from one record, so a price or spec change flows to both without a parallel production process.
AI reads the supplier source and proposes structured attribute values mapped to your Pimcore model, with an editor confirming before anything is saved.
AI drafts descriptions from the governed attributes, routed through a human-review step so an editor approves or corrects before publication.
Agentic import pipelines normalize, validate, and reconcile feeds with idempotent runs, escalating only the cases a human needs to decide.
Anomaly detection flags outliers and incomplete records against your rules, so the data team fixes them in Pimcore before syndication, not after a complaint.
Pimcore 2025.1 introduced the Open Commercial License (POCL). The Community Edition is free only for organizations below 5 million EUR in client revenue, which makes a deliberate licence and upgrade plan a real driver, not a someday task. We move you in defined stages with no surprise downtime.
We map your current Pimcore version, custom code, bundles, data model, and integrations, and record what is in active use versus dead weight. The output is a clear picture of what migrates, what is rebuilt, and what is retired.
We check your position against the POCL threshold and the edition you actually need, so the licence decision is made on facts. No certification or partner claim is implied here; this is a plain reading of the licence terms applied to your numbers.
We design the path to Pimcore 12: dependency and PHP version steps, deprecations to clear, and which custom code moves to our open-source bundles. You get a sequenced plan with effort per stage before any code changes.
We migrate in increments against a copy of production: data model first, then integrations and channel logic, each step verified before the next. Your live system keeps running until the new one is proven.
We validate data integrity, channel output, and performance against agreed criteria, run a controlled cutover, and stay on hand through the first production cycle. You keep the code, the model, and the runbook.
The ownership, hosting, and exit facts a procurement and IT review checks before signing. Plain answers, no fabricated certifications.
